In these times of constraint on the coal sector, and often negative public perception of the sector due to climate and environmental concerns, it has become more and more difficult for researchers in the field to stay connected via membership of traditional associations and institutions, especially within the international coal research community.

As a solution, the CoalTech2051 project, supported by the EU, will develop an operational network of clean coal technologists. Membership is personal and free.

The CCT Network offers the opportunity to meet at workshops, access strategic documents and share information on coal research projects. Other services will be included based on input from experts who join and depending on the network’s future organisational and financial structure. By July 2020, it should become an independent activity.
