The project partners will organise workshops to attract an international audience so that EU researchers in industry and academia can promote the knowledge gained from RFCS research projects, and learn of other relevant research work from around the world to better understand the needs of the global coal industry. Through this exchange with non-EU actors, researchers and industrialists from the EU can position themselves to be a part of coal industry developments around the world and so help present the EU as a player in advanced clean coal technologies, including those that can ensure electricity supply security. Such international co-operation has not been a feature of previous coal-related Accompanying Measures projects under the RFCS.
